It’s not often that we see Apple products go on sale, and it’s even more rare that an item like an Apple Watch will be discounted by significant amounts, so in the world of Apple Watch deals, this one is special. When we reviewed the Apple Watch Series 5, we said it was nothing less than “Superb,” and for good reason. As we noted at the time, “No other smartwatch comes close to offering the same level of fitness tracking, convenience, performance, or wearability.” This watch is special!

The Apple Watch Series 5 has an amazing design and programming features, but we also love it as a wellness tool. It keeps track of stats and corresponding metrics — like your steps, or how many sit-ups you’ve just completed. And it makes this data available almost immediately as you start your routine. In terms of wellness, it dives deep; showing your VO2 Max Data, hourly movement, relaxation, and calories burnt. There’s even an ECG monitor for your heart. If your exercise isn’t limited to the gym, that’s fine too; it tracks a wide range of sporting activity like swimming, cycling, and yoga.

Under the hood, things just get better. The company has improved the processor from the Apple Watch Series 4, as well as the storage, and yet the watch is physically the same size and weight as previous generations. One more upgrade: An internal compass has been added.

And of course, because this is Apple, the Series 5 still looks great. It may be light, but it’s also extremely aerodynamic, slim, and attractive. Something else to be happy about: For those the watch’s case is made of 100% recycled aluminum. But it’s the watch face display where its looks really stand out. With the previous version, you needed to raise your wrist to activate the phone from sleep mode; the Apple Watch Series 5 always has the digital clock glowing. The design options have been expanded, too, giving you a good number of face designs: There’s of course basic black, but also fun, playful, and artsy designs are also on offer.

Apple is now offering its Apple Watch 6, but while it may have some shiny bells and whistles, the Apple Watch Series 5 is a very well-reviewed smartwatch, even among these Apple Watch deals.
